SMART Goals
Many people have goals. But those who have SMART Goals are more likely to be successful at exceeding expectations on projects and moving towards fulfilled dreams.
The following is what makes a goal SMART.
Specific - clearly defined in a few sentences
Measurable - how you know you the goal has been attained
Achievable - can be accomplished with current talent and budget (might require a stretch, but is not extreme)
Relevant - effort expended moves you closer to completion of the project or dream
Timed - you've set a deadline and it's a manageable pace
After setting the goal, take a moment to capture the next step, team members and the specific role they play, then set it in motion.
